Results

Grand Valley State's women's golf team fired a final-round 317 to capture its second consecutive GLIAC Championship Title. The Lakers shot a two-day total of 633, 19-strokes better than archrival Ferris State (652). This is GVSU's third GLIAC title in four years.

Melissa Sneller claimed the individual title by tallying a two-day total of 148 (74, 74) 10 strokes better than the second place individual. GVSU has five golfers in the top six slots. Enid Gage finished in third place with a two-round total of 161 (81, 80), followed by Melissa Riegle who shot a 163 (79, 84). Kristi Vienneau tallied a 164 (82, 82) for a fifth place finish and Laura Leatherman tied for sixth place, shooting a 165 (84, 81). Shannon Briggs rounded out the scoring for the Lakers finishing in 11th place after tallying a 173 (89, 84).

Jennifer Brinks placed 11th as an individual, shooting a 173 (85, 88).

The Lakers are currently ranked #1 in the east in the latest regional poll. GVSU will play in the NCAA-II East Regional on May 4-5 in Big Rapids, Mich.
