Urbana, Ill. - Grand Valley State finished seventh at the 2006 Illini Spring Classic, finishing 17 strokes behind Oregon's two-day total of 610 (+34). GVSU carded a team total of 627 (+51). Michigan finished second (615), followed by Iowa (618), Illinois (619), Indiana (620), and Cincinnati (625). The Lakers finished ahead of four MAC teams. All of the action took place at Stone Creek G.C. (72/5909).

Senior Enid Gage placed 10th with a two-day total of 152 (+8), followed by 13th-place finishes by Melissa Riegle (154/+10) and Kate MacDonald (154/+10). Laura Leatherman finished T59th (166) and Kristi Vienneau was T61st (167).
