Lakeland, Fla. - Grand Valley State finished sixth at the Florida Southern Lady Moc Classic in Lakeland, Florida Tuesday (Mar. 3). The Lakers shot a three-round score of 971, just three shots behind Barry University (968). Rollins won the 16-team event with a 929, followed by Nova Southeastern (931), Florida Southern (931) and Lynn (942).

GVSU's Kristina Langton (Ada, Mich./Catholic Central) finished fourth with a 54-hole 229, while Caitlin Bennett (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./North) finished tied for 24th with a 244. Ashley Smith (Plymouth, Mich./Salem) tied for 33rd (248) and Allie Tyler (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central) finished 44th (254). Senior Michelle Boogaard (Grand Rapids, Mich./South Christian) tied for 47th (257) to round out the scoring for the Lakers.
