Senior center Julie Zeeff earned GLIAC North Player of the Week honors for helping the Lakers get off to a 2-1 start this season by averaging 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game. Zeeff has tallied 207 career blocks for the Lakers, which ties GVSU's all-time block record held by Sue Polus (1985-88).

In Grand Valley's 66-45 win over Hillsdale, Julie tallied 25 points and 12 boards, while adding 24 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks as the Lakers defeated Aquinas, 74-61.
