Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State junior Julie Zeeff earned Daktronics All-Great Lakes Region Second Team plaudits for her play in the 2002-03 season. Zeeff has led GVSU into the NCAA tournament this weekend and a 24-6 overall record, which is the most wins in school history. Julie was the Lakers' leading scorer and rebounder averaging 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Zeeff also set the GVSU single season record with 90 blocked shots and ranks seventh in country at 3.0 blocks per game.

Zeeff also earned All-GLIAC First Team honors and was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament team. Julie took GVSU to their first-ever GLIAC Tournament championship appearance after defeating Northern Michigan and Hillsdale.

The Lakers play in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Tournament on Friday (March 14) against Northern Kentucky at 8:00 pm in Indianapolis.
