Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State senior Laurie Rehmann earned GLIAC North Player of the Week honors after leading the Lakers to wins over Northwood and Lake Superior State last week. Rehmann averaged 17.5 points, 6 assists, 5.5 steals, and 5 rebounds in the two victories. She scored 19 points, including her 100th career three-pointer, and recorded a career high eight steals in the win that snapped LSSU 13-game winning streak. Rehmann was a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line and tallied a 4-to-1 assist to turnover ratio for the week.
Laurie has helped lead GVSU to a 20-4 record on the season and the #14 ranking in the WBCA Top 25 poll. Rehmann is Grand Valley's second leading scorer averaging 13.6 points per game and is fourth in the GLIAC with 5.4 assists per game.
Rehmann and fellow senior Jennifer Nielsen will play in their final regular season home game on Thursday (Feb. 13) against Saginaw Valley State at 6:00 pm.
