Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State earned another GLIAC victory and improves to 8-0 on the season with a 62-56 win over Gannon on Saturday in Erie, Penn. The Lakers, who are 3-0 in conference action, were down by seven at the half but held GU to only 27% shooting in the second half and outscored the Golden Knights by 13 in the second half. GVSU shot 54% from the field to fuel the comeback and were led by junior Cori Jewett who scored 13 and added four assists.

Julie Zeeff was a perfect 4 of 4 from the field and 3 of 3 from the free throw line to total 11 points, while Janine Guastella also scored 11. Jennifer Nielsen scored 8 points and pulled down 7 boards with four assists.

Grand Valley State will host Grace in their next contest on Saturday, December 14th, at 1:00 pm in the GVSU Fieldhouse.
