Hillsdale, Mich. - Junior center Julie Zeeff led three Lakers in double figures with a game-high 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as Grand Valley State (5-0) defeated Hillsdale College (3-1) in a non-league contest Saturday (Nov. 30).
Senior guard Laurie Rehmann scored 14 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out six assists, while Junior Cori Jewett scored 11 points. Senior guard Jennifer Nielsen dished out six assist and pulled down four rebounds and connected on a three-pointer. GVSU shot 44 percent from the floor, while Hillsdale hit just 37.5 percent. The Lakers also outrebounded HC 40-34.
Grand Valley State will host Findlay Monday (Dec. 2) at 6 p.m. in the GLIAC opener.
