Grand Valley State dropped its final game of the 2003 Sodexho Thanksgiving Classic in Melbourne, Florida, 75-59, to North Flordia. The Lakers are now 2-3 overall on the season. GVSU will travel to Ashland on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. for its GLIAC opener.

Grand Valley trailed 32-23 at the half and North Florida outscored the Lakers, 43-36 in the second half to have control of the game. GVSU held North Florida to just 34.4% from the field in the first half, but North Flordia shot 57.1% in the second half. GVSU was also outrebounded 39-28 and North Florida scored 26 points off of Laker turnovers.

Julie Zeeff led the Lakers with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while freshman guard Erika Ryskamp tallied 10 points. Taushauna Churchwell added eight points and four assists.
