Grand Valley State's women's basketball team improve to 2-2 on the season with a 80-67 win over Wisconsin-Parkside. The Lakers will host Marygrove College on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m.

GVSU tallied a 41-29 lead at the half and never looked back. The Lakers shot an outstanding 52.8% from the field (28-for-53), including 7-for-15 from behind the three-point arc. Grand Valley outrebounded Wisconsin-Parkside 34-24, pulling down 10 on the offensive glass.

Leading the way for the Lakers was junior forward Niki Reams who recorded 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Senior guard Janine Guastella tallied 16 point, eight assists, and six rebounds, while sophomore guard Erika Ryskamp added 15 points. Freshman Rachael Willett posted nine points and pulled down four boards for the Lakers.
