Grand Valley State defeated Hillsdale College, 66-45, in the last game of the Sleep Inn Classic Saturday night. The Lakers are now 2-1 overall. GVSU will travel to Melbourne, Florida over Thanksgiving weekend, making their first road appearance of the season. Grand Valley will play Florida Tech on Friday, Nov. 28 at 1:00 p.m. and North Florida on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 1:00 p.m.

Julie Zeeff led the way for the Lakers as she tallied 25 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks. Cori Jewett added 10 points, while Taushauna Churchwell added eight points and five assists.

Grand Valley led 35-21 at halftime and never lost the lead as they outscored the Chargers, 31-24 in the second half.
