Grand Valley State suffered its first loss of the season against Lewis University, 60-57, Friday night in the Sleep Inn Classic. GVSU is now 1-1 and will play Hillsdale College Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Julie Zeeff led the Lakers with 19 points, five blocks, four steals, and four rebounds, while freshman Erica Ryskamp added 13 points. Freshman guard Taushauna Churchwell tallied 11 points, six boards, four steals and four assists.
