Grand Valley State defeated Michigan's All-Stars, 75-58, in exhibition action Friday night. The Lakers will open regular season play as they host Aquinas College on Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Senior Julie Zeeff led the Lakers with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while both seniors Cori Jewett and Jessica Hart chipped in 11 points. Freshman Taushauna Churchwell tallied 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists, and junior Janine Guastella added 10 points and four assists. Junior Diana Voikos tallied eight points and six boards and freshman Julia Braseth added eight points and five rebounds.
