Grand Valley State's women's basketball team dropped a 74-64 decision at Michigan Tech Thursday. The Lakers dropped to 21-5 overall and 12-5 in the GLIAC, while Michigan Tech improves to 14-12 overall and 9-8 in GLIAC action.

GVSU trailed by eight point at the half and despite shooting 51.9% in the second half, GVSU could not overcome the deficit.

Junior Julie Zeeff led Grand Valley with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks. Senior guard Laurie Rehmann had 11 points and seven rebounds, while senior Jen Nielsen added 10 points and four assists.

The Lakers will play at Northern Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1:00 p.m.
