Grand Valley State extended its winning streak to 14 games with an 84-50 win over Saginaw Valley State. The Lakers improve to 19-4 overall and 13-1 in GLIAC action. Saginaw Valley falls to 7-13 overall and 3-9 in the GLIAC.

GVSU took an 11 point lead with 11:32 remaining in the first half on a three-pointer by Taushauna Churchwell and never looked back. The Lakers extended the lead to 16 as they led 39-23 at the half.

GVSU shot 50.8% in the game, hitting 33-of-65 shots. The Lakers outrebounded the Cardinals by a 42-28 margin, including 16-8 on the offensive glass. Grand Valley was also 8-of-24 from behind the three-point arc.

Junior forward Niki Reams led the Lakers with 19 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, and three assists, while sophomore guard Erika Ryskamp also added 19 points, five assists, and two steals. Freshman guard Crystal Zick posted 10 points and five assists and sophomore forward Julia Braseth added seven points and eight boards.

The Lakers will host Lake Superior State on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1:00 p.m. GVSU is ranked #2 in the Great Lakes Regional poll, while Lake Superior is ranked #1.
