Big Rapids, Mich. - Sophomore guard Erika Ryskamp led five Lakers in double figures with a team-high 19 points as Grand Valley State cruised to a 68-56 GLIAC road win over Ferris State. GVSU, which has now won 13 straight games, improves to 18-4 overall and 12-1 in GLIAC action. The 13-game winning streak is the third-longest winning streak in Laker women's basketball history.

GVSU led 33-19 at the half and scored the first nine points of the second half to build its largest lead of the game, 42-19. GVSU led by 20 points or more for most of the second half. GVSU forced Ferris State into 33 turnovers and recorded 19 steals in game. Ryskamp dished out five assists in addition to her 19 points, while freshman guard Crystal Zick added 13 points, six rebounds and five assists. Junior forward Niki Reams chipped in 12 points, while Janine Guastella added 11 points and dished out five assists. Julia Braseth tallied 11 points and eight rebounds. GVSU connected on eight three-pointers in the contest and attempted 20 more shots than Bulldogs.

GVSU will host Saginaw Valley State Thursday (Feb. 10) at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
