Grand Valley State fell, 76-72, in a GLIAC contest in Big Rapids, Mich. on Saturday. The Lakers are now 3-8 overall and 0-3 in the GLIAC.

GVSU trailed by six points at halftime after shooting only 37.5% from the field. In the second half, the Lakers outscored the Bulldogs by two on 51.4% shooting, but it was not enough to overcome the halftime deficit.

Freshman guard Erika Ryskamp led all scorers with 25 points and added six rebounds and four assists. Senior center Julie Zeeff tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks. Senior forward Cori Jewett added 13 points and a team-high six assists.

Grand Valley will travel to Wayne State on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5:30 p.m. and to Hillsdale on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
