Grand Forks, ND - Grand Valley State dropped a hard faught 68-54 decision to number-ranked North Dakota Friday night in women's basketball action on the road. GVSU dropped to 3-6 overall and will play at St. Cloud State Sunday.

The game was a lot closer than the final score indicated as GVSU trailed 32-30 at the half. GVSU tied the game at 34-34 on a Julia Braseth bucket, but the top-ranked Fighting Sioux outscored the Lakers 17-9 over the next eight minutes to take a 51-43 advantage. UND went another 12-2 late in the contest to build its advantage.

Cori Jewett led GVSU with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Julia Braseth chipped in 12 points and six rebounds for the Lakers.
