Grand Valley State men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Chicago for the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invite on Saturday, Oct. 1. Both teams will race in the Gold Division, which consists of all Division I teams and other ranked teams from the other divisions.

The Laker women are currently ranked #1 in the Great Lakes Region and #2 in the nation, while the men are ranked #1 in the Great Lakes Region and #6 in the nation. Click on the link for complete rankings:

"This will be a great opportunity for our squads to go against some of the top teams in the midwest," said head coach Jerry Baltes. "Our squads are excited to have an opportunity to see where our fitness is at. We have spent a lot of time training at a high level over the last 6 weeks and we are ready to toe the line for a race."
