Six Lakers Earn USTFCCCA Academic All-American Honors

Grand Valley State's men's cross country team was one of 50 Division II teams that earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors. Also, six Lakers earned USTFCCCA Academic All-American honors for excelling as a student-athlete.

A team GPA of 3.0 and all of the participants in the regional meet had to comprise that GPA for a team to qualify for the honor. Grand Valley compiled a 3.31 team GPA.

Sophomore Robby Young, senior Blake Terhune, sophomore Nate Peck, junior Ryan Holm, redshirt freshman Chris Hammer, and sophomore Grant Fall were all named USTFCCCA Academic All-Americans. To qualify to be an academic all-american, the student-athlete had to be in the top 30% of the participants at their regional meet and have a 3.25 GPA or higher.
