Results

Grand Valley State men's cross country placed sixth at the 2004 Division II National Championships. The Lakers recorded 213 points, while Western State won the title with 39 points. GVSU finished in 14th place last season and ninth in 2002.

Finishing first for the Lakers was freshman Nate Peck who took 19th place overall with a time of 32:53.5. Senior Ryan Cole took 21st place (33:01.0) and freshman Chris Pabst ran a 33:29.7 for 37th place. Sophomore Ryan Holm tallied a 33:59.1 for 55th place and freshman Grant Fall ran 34:32.0 for 81st place. Freshman Robby Young took 90th place with a time of 34:44.1 and Blake Terhune ran a 34:59.9.
