Kenosha, Wisc. - GVSU had three runners place in the top 10 and seven in the top 15 en route to its fifth straight Great Lakes Regional Championship in Kenosha, Wisc. Saturday afternoon. Junior Nate Peck captured his third straight Great Lakes Regional Individual Title with a time of 31:30.0. The Lakers will now travel to Pensacola, Fla. and participate in the NCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, November 18.

Joining Peck with top 10 finishes were senior Ryan Holm (4th, 32:05.4) and junior James Gale (7th, 32:09.7). Rounding out the top five for the Lakers were senior Nic Gatlin (11th, 32:33.3) and sophomore Chris Hammer (13th, 32:48.9).

Grand Valley tallied 36 total points, beating Wayne State who scored 60 points and placed second. Saginaw Valley finished third with a score of 119, followed by Northern Kentucky with 170 and Southern Indiana with 177.

The Lakers will run in their fifth straight NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 18 in Pensacola Fla. at the Fall Sports Fesitval hosted by West Florida.
