Nic Gatlin crossed in 17th place (23:15), followed by Chris Pabst (30th/25:28), Robbie Young (33rd/25:33) and Blake Terhune (41st/25:38). Grant Fall (42nd) and Tim Dalton (59th) rounded out the Laker top seven.
"I am really pleased with how the guys ran," said head coach Jerry Baltes. "We had a solid race in some tough conditions."
"We were forced to get out really fast and we were not quite ready for that," added Baltes. "Even though we beat some very solid Division I programs, we found out that we have to get better in some areas in order to do what we want at the end of the season."
