Witt Named GLIAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year
Senior Anthony Witt won the GLIAC Championship race this past weekend
2011 Track: Finished 12th at the GLIAC Indoor Championships in the mile with a time of 4:24.34...Ran a 4:16.41 in the mile at the Indiana University Relays...Ran a 3:49.80 in the 1500m at the Mt. SAC Relays...Finished second in the GLIAC Outdoor Championships with a time 3:52.15 in the 1500m...Finished ninth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1500m with a time of 3:59.20.
2010 Cross Country: Finished 25th at the Spartan Invitational with a time of 25:36...Finished fifth at the Hillsdale Charger Invitational with a time of 25:03.7...Placed 94th at the Great Louisville Classic Gold race with a time of 25:06.59...Placed 10th at the Midwest Regional Championship with a time of 31:35.44 in the 10k race...Finished 76th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 32:16.0 in the 10k race.
2010 Track: Ran a PR of 8:41.35 in the 3000m at the Eubanks Open...Placed fourth at the GLIAC Indoor Championships in the mile with a time of 4:14.31 and help the DMR to a third place finish with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:57.21...Redshirted outdoor season.
2009 Cross Country: Redshirted.
High School: MHSAA All-State in Cross Country in 2007 and 2008 with a fifth placefinish in2008. Led Potterville to MHSAA Cross country team titles in both 2007and 2008 and in track in 2009. MHSAA state champion in the 4x800 in2007, 2008 andrunners up in 2009. State champ in the 4x400 in 2009 and all-state in2008.State runner up in the 800 in 2009. MHSAA state champion and Division 4state record holderin the 1600 in 4:16.94.... 1600 all-state in 2007 and 2008.
