Former Grand Valley State track and field thrower Aleksas Abromavicius, competed at the 2010 Lithuanian Athletics Championships this past weekend (July 9-10). Abromavicius set a new personal best and took home the gold with a throw of 207'9" (63.32m) in the discus throw.

Abromavicius was a Laker from 2006-09 and was an all-american during his junior year (2009). He placed sixth at the 2009 indoor championships in the shot put with a mark of 57' and finished second in the discus at the outdoor championships with a toss of 178'10".
