Who: 1st - 6th graders
When: July 10th - July 13th, 9 a.m. - 3. p.m. with 3-5 being free day care.
****Campers must provide their OWN lunch.
Cost: $150.00
Camp Goals: The Grand Valley State Laker Kid's club sports camp is a way for children and younger kids of all ages to learn the principles and fundamentals of being physically active and healthy. The camp will be instructed and supervised by gvsu coaches and athletics who will instruct the campers in numerous activities while also mentoring the campers in the qualities that represent GVSU athletics. The campers will be taught the values of hard work, determination, teamwork, setting goals, and the idea of having fun in sports and physical activity. These are all lessons that gvsu athletes use everyday whether on or off the playing field.
Camp Staff:
Jerry Baltes - Head coach of cross country and track and field at Grand Valley.
GVSU Athletes - Members of both the GVSU cross country and track and field teams will present for the camp and will instruct and supervise the campers throughout the week.
Activities at Camp:
The following activities may be featured during the week.
Soccer, Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, Golf, Tennis, Softball, Swimming, Basketball, Capture the Flag, Track & Field, and rock climbing.
Location:
Meet in the fieldhouse lower lobby every morning to start the camp.
Attire:
Make sure child is properly dressed in athletic apparel and athletic shoes. Also make sure child brings enough clothing for the entire day.
