John Ybarra earned All-American honors as he recorded a fourth place finish in the shot put.

Freshman John Ybarra earned All-American honors as he recorded a fourth place finish in the shot put. Ybarra recorded a throw of 55-07.50 in his first appearance at the National Championships. Junior Krista O'Dell captured All-American honors as she finished in sixth place (4:48.94) in the mile at the 2004 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships in Boston, Mass.

Sophomore Natalie Ewing tallied a 10th place finish in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:30.71. Freshman Rachel Duthler took 10th place in the pole vault (11-08.00) in her first-ever appearance at the Championships. Senior Joe Prouix finished in ninth place in the shot put with a throw of 53-01.00.

Grand Valley's men tallied an 18th place finish, recording 11 points, while the women tied for 36th place with three points.
