Results

Sophomore John Ybarra took ninth place with a throw of 54-04.50 in the shot put, while sophomore Nick Natale finished in 12th, throwing 53-09.75 on day two of the NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships in Abilene, Texas.

Senior Don Wilkins quaified for the finals in the 5,000 meter run, taking 10th in the prelims with a time of 14:52.02. The men's 4x400 meter relay team consisting of sophomore Joe LeFevre, freshman Bill Makela, freshman Kris Oglesbee, and junior Kenny Coleman qualified for the finals, taking seventh place with a time of 3:12.13.

The Laker men are tied for 15th with five points after two days.
