Findlay, Ohio - Grand Valley State dominated from start to finish en route to the program's seventh straight GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship. GVSU tallied a two-day total of 184 points, well ahead of Ashland's 119 points. The Lakers claimed seven titles during day two of the meet.
Nate Peck claimed a pair of titles en route to being named the Running Athlete of the Meet. Peck won the mile (4:07.74) and 3000m run (8:27.90). John Collins claimed top honors in the 800 (1:54.10), while Garron Lucius crossed first in the 55 hurdles (7.62). Lucius also finished fifth in the 55m dash (6.55). Jake Hendrickson finished third in the 200 (22.09) and seventh in the 55m dash (6.67). GVSU scored 14 out of a possible 39 points in the 400. Kenny Coleman was third (49.02), followed by Josh Pahl in fifth (49.91), Kris Olgesbee in sixth (50.29) and Lucius Mackenzie eighth (50.76).
Grant Fall was fifth in the mile (4:18.49), while Brian Cermak was fifth in the 800 (1:57.46). Dan Jackson was third in the 55 hurdles (7.78) and Mike Stowe crossed in fifth (7.86). Stowe added a fifth-place finish in the high jump (6-4.25). The Laker 4x400 relay team was second, crossing the finish line in 3:19.07. Grand Valley State turned in a 1-2-3 finish in the pole vault. Freshman Bryant Wilson finished first in the pole vault with a vault of 16-1.25, while Brian Beach was second (15-1.50) and Scott Levering third (15-1.50). Bryan Dovichi won the triple jump (46-3.50) and Nick Natale was second in the shot put (56-1.25).

Grand Valley State will next compete in the 2006 NCAA DII National Championship March 10-11 in Boston, Mass.
