Track and Field Prepares for GVSU Laker Early Bird
First indoor meet of the season will see the distance runners highlighted
2011 Track: Placed second in the weight throw at the GVSU Holiday Open with a toss of 15.41 meters...Won the event at the GVSU Early Bird Open with a distance of 15.83 meters...Finished seventh in the shot put at both the SVSU vs GVSU Dual Meet (13.83m) and GVSU Tune-Up (14.27m)...Finished fourth in the weight throw at the GVSU Tune-Up with a toss of 15.99 meters...Threw a personal-best 16.43 meters in the weight throw at the SVSU vs GVSU Dual Meet...In the outdoor season, he had three top 10 finishes in the discus throw...Finished eighth at the MSU Spartan Invite (44.90m), sixth at the ISU Pacesetter Invitational (47.05m) and fourth at the Purdue Dave Rankin Invitational with a personal best 49.01 meters.
