Allendale, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team learned late Wednesday that they will be participating in their first-ever NCAA DII Men's Tennis Championship Tournament. The NCAA made the announcement Wednesday from Indianapolis, Indiana. Grand Valley State (16-10) will square off against GLIAC rival Ferris State Thursday, May 5 at the FSU Racquet & Fitness Center. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.

Grand Valley State is led by three All-GLIAC performers. Junior Kyle Klinge (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Ottawa) is 11-6, while sophomore Adam Sandusky (Three Rivers, Mich.) turned in a 16-7 mark. Sophomore Kyle Dehne (Northville, Mich.) is 5-15 at number one singles for the Lakers. Junior Scott Gregory (Hudsonville, Mich.) has also been solid for the Lakers with an 18-6 record.
