Allendale, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis squad lost 9-0 to 9th ranked Northwood. Desmond Early fell 5-7, 6-4 to 17th ranked Torsten Greif at number one singles. At number two singles, #31 Gerrit Lotz defeated Kyle Dehne 6-0, 6-2. Northwood also picked up wins from #47 Christian Valenthon at three singles, Thomas Menec, Bastien Labarta, and Marcel Galik.

In doubles action, #14th ranked pair Torsten Greif and Gerrit Lotz defeated Desmond Early and Matt Young 8-2. Northwood swept the doubles action with victories over the Laker duo of Michael Rhoads and Nick Cron at number two doubles, and Kyle Dehne and Greg Croissant at the third spot.

Grand Valley is currently 4-14 overall and 1-7 in conference action. The Lakers will compete in the GLIAC tournament on April 18 and 19 at the Midland Community Tennis Center.
