Grand Valley State dropped a 5-0 decision to Ferris State in the second round of the GLIAC Tournament held in Midland, Mich. GVSU will play Lake Superior State in the GLIAC Tournament Third Place Match on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Ferris State swept all three doubles matches and took #1 and #4 singles to seal the 5-0 win. Brenton Bacon and Mark Hammelman defeated Kyle Dehne and Adam Sandusky, 8-2 in the #1 doubles slot, while Kyle Halberg and Kevin Brundle defeated Nirun Raju and Scott Gregory, 8-3 at #2 doubles. Mike Bambini and Jim Farmer dropped an 8-3 decision in the #3 doubles slot.

Bacon beat Dehne, 6-0, 6-0 at #1 singles and Lewis DeGeneault picked up a 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 win over Gregory at #4 singles.

Last season, GVSU fell, 5-4, to Mercyhurst in the third place match of the GLIAC Tournament.
