Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State fell to Michigan Tech 8-1 in a GLIAC match in Houghton, Mich. on Saturday. The Lakers earned a win at #6 singles and had five other contests that went down to the wire but ended up on the losing end. GVSU falls to 4-12 overall and 1-5 in GLIAC action.

Nick Cron won the only match for GVSU at #6 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-1. Desmond Early dropped a three-set tie break at #1 singles (7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (4) and Matt Young also fell in three sets at #5. All three doubles teams lost tough 8-6 decisions.

GVSU will play at Lake Superior State on Sunday in conference action.
