Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State fell to Grand Rapids rival Aquinas 7-2 on Friday at Ramblewood Tennis Center. The Lakers were able to pick up wins at #1 and #6 singles, but AC controlled the rest of the match. GVSU falls to 3-9 overall, while Aquinas is 3-1 and ranked #18 in NAIA competition.

Desmond Early earned a straight set victory at #1 singles 7-5, 6-4. Early now has a 7-8 overall record on the year. Nick Cron was the other winner for GVSU in the #6 spot earning a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory.

Grand Valley will host Findlay at 2:00 pm on Saturday, and finish up the weekend with Mercyhurst at 10:00 am on Sunday with both matches being held at Riverview Tennis Club.
