CANTON, Ohio - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team defeated Malone, 8-1, in a road match in Canton, Ohio to remain undefeated in GLIAC action.

Grand Valley State is now 12-7 on the season and 7-0 in league play.The Lakers face off with Lake Erie on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Lakers swept through doubles play to grab three points. Francis Bertrand and Bryan Hodges grabbed an 8-2 win in the No. 1 slot, while Andrew Darrell and Andrew Bole paired up for an 8-1 victory in the No. 2 position. Michael Kaye and Andrew Heuerman also won, 8-6, in No. 3 doubles.

Darrell won his No. 2 singles match, 6-3, 7-5, while doubles partner, Bole, defeated Alex Steinmetz, 6-2, 6-0, in the No. 4 spot. In the No. 3 position, Hodges won, 6-1, 6-1. Kaye won, 6-2, 6-0, in the No. 5 slot, while Heuerman wrapped up the victories with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in No. 6 singles.
