GRANDVILLE, Mich. - Grand Valley State dropped just two sets during singles play en route to a 9-0 win over Aquinas College at the Ramblewood tennis courts on Wednesday. The Lakers are now 8-5 on the season.

At first singles, Tony Dang battled three sets for a 5-7, 7-5, 10-3 win. Marc Roesslein's 6-3, 7-5 win at second singles was followed by a 6-3, 6-3 victory by Philipp Claus in the third spot. Brock Plangger took a point at fourth singles with a three-set victory 6-3, 3-6, 10-7. Alex Switzer and Michael Coupek won at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, to close out singles scoring. Switzer won 7-6, 6-4 while Coupek claimed a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

In doubles, Dang and Roesslein teamed up to win 8-4 at the top spot, while Switzer and Matt Globerson earned an 8-4 win of their own at No. 2 doubles. Coupek and Plangger picked up an 8-3 win at third doubles.
