Grand Valley State's men's tennis team swept St. Joseph's College (Ind.), 9-0 in their first match of the spring season. The Lakers will host Kalamazoo Community College on Friday, Feb. 11 at 6:00 p.m.

Kyle Dehne defeated Kyle Marburger, 7-6(2), 6-2 at #1 singles, Kyle Klinge won 6-1, 6-3, against Dru Kitchell at #2 singles, and #3 singles Adam Sandusky beat Andy Dowll, 6-1, 6-3. Dave Grow won 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles against Albert Santa Cruz, while Alex Switzer picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Ryan Hendrickson at #5 singles. Justin Sauerbrey defeated Nate Burton at #6 singles, 6-3, 6-4.

Dehne/Grow picked up an 8-3 win at #1 doubles over Marburger/Dowell, while Sandusky/Klinge won 8-1 against Hendrickson/Santa Cruz at #2 doubles. Switzer and Scott Gregory defeated Kitchell/Burton 8-4 in #3 doubles action.
