Bay City, Mich. - As the Grand Valley State University men's golf team gets ready to compete at the NCAA National Championships in Houston, Tx., the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference announced its all-conference awards. Four Lakers were named to the three teams, including Matt Malloure and Josh Orler on the All-GLIAC First Team.

Malloure, a GLIAC Tournament medalist, earned his first conference honors as he was named a First Team All-GLIAC selection by finishing the season with an average of 72.2. Orler, a senior, earned the honors after being an All-GLIAC Second Team selection a year ago. Orler finished with an average of 72.3.

Tyler Hering finished the season with an average of 73.3 and All-GLIAC Second Team honors. Josh Burt was named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC after finishing the season with an average of 73.6.

All-GLIAC men's golf selections are based upon a player's stroke average in his 10 best rounds in league play, including the three rounds of the GLIAC Tournament. All ties are broken by total strokes in the GLIAC Tournament.
