Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State junior Steve Larson (Manistique, Mich.) has qualified for the NCAA DII Men's Golf National Championship it was announced by the NCAA. The championships will be held May 16-19, at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. The championships are being hosted by Concord University and The West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Larson won the individual title at the Great Lakes Super Regional at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Lockport, Ill. Steve posted a three round score of 211, five strokes under par. He recorded four birdies and 13 pars on the final day. Larson is the second player in Grand Valley State men's history to qualify for the NCAA DII National Championship as an individual.
