Results

Grand Valley State men's golf team finished in third place at the GLIAC Championships held at Blackberry Patch Golf Club in Coldwater, Mich. GVSU tallied a day one score of 620, followed by a 312 on Sunday to give them a three-round total of 932. Ferris State won the title with a 917, while Findlay finished second, tallying a 928.

Leading the way for the Lakers was sophomore Kyle Murphy who tied for seventh place overall with a 230 (82, 73, 75). Freshman Josh Orler tied for ninth place after shooting a 231 (77, 77, 77), while freshman Tony Mango fired a three-round score of 237 (79, 78, 80). Junior Jacob Hamilton recorded a 242 (79, 79, 84) , tying for 28th place, and freshman Matt Johnson rounded out the scoring for GVSU with a 245 (78, 87, 80).

The Lakers will compete in the UNNICO Invitational in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on Oct. 17-18.
