Grand Valley State's men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Northwood University Invite with a two round score of 609. Saginaw Valley won the invitational with a score of 589.

Tony Mango finished first for the Lakers, tying for ninth overall with a 149 (76, 73). Josh Orler tied for 17th, tallying a 151 (75, 76), Kyle Murphy shot a 152 (79, 73), and Bill Schmidt posted a 157 (82, 75). Chris Johnson rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with a 166 (83, 83).

Steve Larson tallied a 154 (77, 77), finishing tied for 32nd as an individual.

Grand Valley will compete in the Saginaw Invitational on October 2-3 in Bay City, Mich.
