Grand Valley State Wins Regional Tournament
 

 
 
 

 
GVSU won their second out of three tournaments this fall.

Grand Valley won the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Fall Tournament with a two-day total of 597. The 21 team tournament consisted of teams from the GLIAC and GLVC. It was held at Blackberry Patch Golf Course in Coldwater, Mich.

The Lakers finished 12 strokes ahead of second place Indianapolis (609). Grand Valley placed four golfers in the top 11 spots individually. Kevin Kremer set the pace for the Lakers, finishing fourth, with a two day total of 148. Jake Hamilton finished sixth (149), Brad Franz placed eighth (150), and Bill Schmidt took 11th place (151).

Grand Valley shot an outstanding 293 on Saturday and followed it up with a 304 on Sunday to seal the Lakers win. GVSU has won two of its tournaments this fall and placed second in the other.

The Lakers will play in the Saginaw Valley State Invitational this weekend.
