Results

Grand Valley State captured the Bulldog Men's Golf Invitational title with a win in a playoff over Saginaw Valley State. Both teams tallied a 578 after two rounds on Saturday. The Lakers will host the GVSU Laker Invitational at the Meadows Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 17 and Monday, Sept. 18.

GVSU fired a 285 in the first round, five strokes ahead of Saginaw Valley State and Lewis University. The Lakers posted a 293 in the second round to tally their two-round score of 578.

Senior Steve Larson led GVSU as he tied for fourth place overall with a two under par, 142 (71, 71). Junior Tony Mango tied for seven place, posting a 144 (70, 74). Junior Josh Orler tallied a 70 in the first round and a 75 in the second round as his score of 145 tied him for 12th place. Freshman Matt Malloure tied for 22nd place with a 147 (74, 73). Freshman Jamie Clark rounded out the Lakers with a 150, as he shot a 75 in both rounds.
