The Lakers finished first at the GVSU Fall Invitational. The tournament consisted of 36-holes all played on Sunday. GVSU tallied a 297 in both rounds, giving then a total of 594. Grand Valley had a 13-stroke edge over Saginaw Valley State.
Kevin Kremer won the invitational with a score of 144. Kremer shot a 74 in round one and a 70 in round two. Bill Schmidt, Jacob Hamilton, and Kyle Murphy all tied for ninth place after shooting a two-round total of 151. Brad Franz rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with a 152, which tied him for 14th place.
Grand Valley will play at the NCAA Fall Regional Qualifier in Coldwater, Michigan on Sept. 21-22.
