Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State finished fifth in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional after firing a final round 298 to finish at 919 (+55). Kevin Kremer shot a one under 71, the best score of the day, and finished in second place individually at 219 (+3). The Lakers entered the last round in seventh place but finished the tournament only six strokes out of fourth position.
Kremer finished one stroke away from medalist honors, which would have qualified for the NCAA National Championships. Kremer started the tournament with a two rounds of 74. Jacob Hamilton was the second leading scorer for the Lakers as he placed 27th with a 234. Casey Smits and Bill Schmidt followed close behind at 235 and 236, which placed them 28th and 29th, respectively.
