Duncan, Okla. - Grand Valley State is tied for 11th place at the 2010 Midwest/South Central Men's Regional Tournament after Tuesday's (May 4) second round, but the Lakers sit just six strokes out of fifth place and a qualifying berth in the Division II Men's Golf Championship. GVSU sophomore Nick Gunthorpe is in a tie for first place heading into Wednesday's (May 5) final round at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla.
After shooting a first day 297, the Lakers notched a 315 on Tuesday for a combined score of 612 (+36). GVSU is tied with St. Edward's, Abilene Christian, and St. Mary's in 11th place.
