Grand Valley State finished in second place at the NCAA DII Great Lakes Super Regional at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. Northern Kentucky won the three day tournament with a 54-hole score of 891, while GVSU finished 18 shots behind with a 909.

Tony Mango paved the way for the Lakers, finishing with a 225 (72, 77, 76), which tied him for seventh place. Josh Orler tied for 12th place with a 227 (79, 74, 74), while Kyle Murphy shot a 230 (80, 79, 71), tying him for 18th place. Steve Larson placed 20th with a 231 (74, 77, 80). Mark Pawlowski shot a 241 (86, 75, 80) to round out the scoring for the Lakers.

Grand Valley finished in third place at the regionals last season.
