Union, KY. - Grand Valley State shot a 306 second round at the NCAA DII Great Lakes Golf Regional Tuesday in Union, Kentucky, and find themselves eight shots back of first place Northern Kentucky. NKU has a two-round total of 598, while GVSU tallied a two-day total of 606. Saginaw Valley State is third with a 609. The third and final round is Wednesday and only the first place finisher is assured a spot in the NCAA DII Golf National Championships slated for Orlando, Florida.
Senior Kevin Kremer kept the Lakers within striking distance with the low round of the day at -1 70. Kremer is 14th overall with a two-round total of 152. Bill Schmidt leads the way for the Lakers with a two-day total of 150 which places him tied for ninth. Kyle Murphy is tied for 15th at 153, while Jake Hamilton is tied for 21st at 155.
