Results

Grand Valley State's men's golf team is in third place after day one of the NCAA DII Men's Great Lakes Super Regional held at Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Lockport, Ill. The Lakers shot a first round score of 299 and trail leader Northern Kentucky by 11 strokes. Saginaw Valley State is in second place after posting a 296. The teams will play 18 more holes on both Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3.

Junior Steve Larson is leading the tournament after shooting a three under par 69 in the first round. Sophomore Josh Orler is tied for seventh place with a 73, while junior Kyle Murphy tallied a 78. Sophomore Tony Mango shot a 79 and senior Jacob Hamilton fired an 80 to round out the scoring for the Lakers.
